FINTRAC Sentinel
Explainable monitoring
Sentinel watches a virtual-currency ledger and the cash and wire rails beside it. Every alert names what was observed, the threshold it was compared with, and the transactions that are the evidence.
Globe of synthetic cross-border flows touching Canada. Gold arcs leave Canada. Mint arcs arrive. Motion is paused.

Reporting obligations
An LVCTR is arithmetic. An STR is a judgement. Mixing them is how a compliance program starts treating every large receipt as suspicious, or waving away a real reporting duty because nobody felt uneasy.
01
LVCTR
CAD 10,000 or more received in virtual currency, including receipts that only cross the line once they are added inside 24 hours.
8 open candidates
02
LCTR
Cash received for one conductor, in one amount or across the same 24-hour window. A threshold is an obligation, not a suspicion.
3 cash alerts
03
EFTR
Electronic funds transfers that cross the border at CAD 10,000 or more. A domestic payroll wire is out of scope.
2 wire alert
04
STR
Structuring, rapid movement between rails, high-risk exposure and unusual behaviour. A draft cites its evidence. A person decides.
8 grounded drafts
Inside the workspace
Screening, property, travel-rule gaps and typologies stay labelled as what they are. Open any tile and the evidence is still attached.
Desk replay
UTC clock --:--:--
The newest rows from the snapshot, cycled on the desk clock. Nothing here is a live feed from a payment rail.

2 sanctions · 1 PEP
Fuzzy name matching against a fictional sanctions and PEP list. A hit records the score. It is not a legal designation.
1 sample observation
A match on the fictional property list is kept apart from suspicion, the same way a large-cash threshold is.
1 incomplete wire
International EFTs are checked for originator and beneficiary fields. A blank is a record defect.
1 trade · 1 MSB · 1 casino
Invoice gaps, multi-beneficiary MSB payouts, and casino chips with almost no play.
How a score is built
demo maple
CAD 21,600 received in one day from six wallets against a declared CAD 20,000 monthly expectation, with rapid onward movement and a beneficiary shared with another customer.
cash structuring
Four cash receipts under CAD 10,000 that together clear the line inside one day.
sanctions fuzzy
Customer name Soren Halburg is one edit from sample sanctions entry Soren Halberg.
terrorist property
Exact match to the fictional terrorist-property sample. A TPR would be in question on a real list.
travel rule gap
CAD 4,200 international wire with beneficiary account, address, and institution blank.
trade based
Invoice CAD 48,000 against declared goods of CAD 12,000, paid by international wire.
msb payouts
MSB takes CAD 6,400 in cash and pays four beneficiaries by domestic EFT later the same day.
casino minimal play
CAD 9,000 in chips, CAD 450 of play, redeemed to a third party. Under the large-cash line.
The line we do not cross
Nothing is filed. The largest receipt in view is still synthetic. A high score is a reason to look, $10,000.00 is a reporting line, and neither one is a finding that money laundering occurred.
Point a Vercel project at the web directory. Framework preset Next.js. Build command next build. No database, no environment variables, no external services. The pages and the API routes read a bundled snapshot produced by the Python detection pipeline.
Regenerate that snapshot from the repository root with python -m scripts.export_snapshot after the rule catalogue changes.
